As we close out another incredible year, on behalf of the staff, we want to take a moment to thank you for the hard work, dedication, and the positive energy you bring to our community. This season is a time for reflection, gratitude, and connection. However you celebrate, we hope your holidays are filled with joy, peace, and moments that matter most to you. Stay safe, recharge, and enjoy time with loved ones. We look forward to welcoming you and our students back in the new year, ready for new opportunities and continued success together!
Drop off and Pick Up: As we move into the winter season, we would like to thank the families who are making a difference at the Kiss and Ride. Keeping the entrance to the school at the cross walk free of vehicles is essential for pedestrian safety. A reminder this area is not a parking space, families who need to park are asked to do so along Jilem Court. We thank our partners at the Severn Township Office who continue to support our efforts to keep our entry and exit safe. A reminder that the front parking lot is closed to non-staff parking from 9:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m and from 3:10 p.m - 4:00 p.m. to facilitate the safe arrival and dismissal of buses. Your continued commitment to student safety is greatly appreciated!
Food Drive: The Sharing Place Food Centre is a community-based not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping Orillia area residents living with food insecurity. Our school has decided to support the Orillia Sharing Place this holiday season by participating in a Healthy Holiday Donation Drive. We will be accepting donations of nonperishable food items until Thursday, December 11th. The top items needed by the Sharing Place at this time of year include canned vegetables, canned soup, canned meat and fish, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, rice, cereal, pasta, sugar, flour, tea and coffee. Let’s show our generosity and kindness towards those in our community who need our help! Thank you in advance for your support.
Holiday Candy Grams: Candy Grams will be available to purchase during nutrition breaks from December 1st - 12th for 50 cents! They will be delivered to classrooms on Wednesdays and Fridays. Students can take slips home to fill out and return before or on December 12th.Proceeds from this fundraiser are to support the Grade 8 Trip.
